Pattern Details

New lower price on my design/pattern instructions! Just in time for the holidays, you can create these ornaments for gifts or to decorate your home. There is also a pin-cushion design, that makes a great gift, or decoration for your sewing room, and is useful too. Hope you will check out my pattern, while it is listed at the lower price. I've included step by step instructions, and plenty of photos to guide you through the process of making them. Instructions include plenty of tips for sewing. I have always loved sewing and using yo-yos in my quilt projects. It is one of the first things I learned to sew as a teenager. One of my first projects was a yo-yo pillow top. I once created a dollhouse quilt using very small yo-yos, I wanted to see how small I could sew them by using a quarter for my circle template. These early experiences lead me to design my Yo-Yos Cubed Ornament design. I first made these in the 1990s to sell during holiday season at the Illinois Artisans Shop in Chicago, Illinois. The ornament design later inspired the pincushion design. Happy Creating! Many Blessings, Denise A. I have been designing and creating art since childhood. As a child, my mother encouraged my creative endeavors by enrolling me in art and craft classes. My interest grew and I went on to study art in undergraduate and graduate school. I’ve worked in many different media, but have always been drawn back to the fiber and quilting arts. Accomplishments: Quilts exhibited in several juried shows, including 2 Hoffman Challenges. 2013 Push the Envelope Contest, American Sewing Expo, Novi, Michigan, “Holiday Wall Hanging”, Honorable Mention for outstanding thread work. 2013-2014 Quilting Arts Gifts Magazine, Machine Needle-felted Ornaments article published. I hope my designs will inspire you and you enjoy making your own creations from them. It is wonderful to share them with you!
