Pattern Details

Easy to make and easy to wear for lazy hair days, bad hair days, or no hair days :). It can be tied in many different ways and is reversible and adjustable! **Note: this is the same pattern as the "Headhugger" pattern, just with different photos. ** The wrap hat has padding around the front (optional) and has a long tie that can slip through loops in the back and wrap around to secure and embellish it. It is adjustable, so it will fit most head sizes, and you can adjust how much of your head to cover. You can also use the tie by itself as a scarf / headband (oh, the possibilities). And I will include instructions for a few ways you can tie your "headhugger" or wrap hat. The photos show different views of the hat as well as different ways to tie. But, really, there are so many ways to wear them. And I should note that they can be pulled farther forward than I have mine in the front view. It all depends on what you want to show...or hide.. :). Beginner Friendly level, the pdf file includes 5 pages of sewing instructions with 6 photos, 6 pages of pattern pieces and 2 pages of 'how to tie' instructions. Supplies: 1/2 yard of 44" wide for "Fabric 1" (one side) 1/2 yard of 44" wide for "Fabric 2" (the other side) Optional: 4" by 14" piece of batting Thread Copyright (c) 2009 - Feel free to sell what you make from this pattern, but please note me as the designer - thx! I love to come up with a creative approach to a conventional need. My mother has been a great influence on me. She has always been very creative and resourceful. And she tells me that my great-grandmother was a terrific seamstress, too (which I do not claim to be!). In addition to my sewing patterns, I have designed unconventional lamps, window coverings, table accessories and wall hangings. My inspiration comes from pretty much everything around me. I left the corporate world in 2001. Although I have been creative in varying degrees ever since I can remember, now I get to be creative full time - a total dream come true. I live with my husband, a woodworker, and 2 dogs in beautiful, rural Chatham County, North Carolina.
