Pattern Details

This is a downloadable sewing pattern, not an actual unsponge. Do not purchase if you do not intend to sew. This is a computer drafted pattern, and has been completely tested. The "Funge" sewing pattern can be used to make un-sponges for the kitchen and bath. Unlike a regular sponge, the Funge can be washed in your washing machine or dish washer. Never have an icky, slimy sponge again. This is simple enough for beginners and does not require much fabric. A mesh scrubbing layer is optional for the Funge. Ours features a more professional looking finish than a plain serged edge. Seam allowances are included in the pattern. The set pattern includes "Bubbles" the lingerie/ laundry bag used to hold the Funges for washing. "Bubbles" can be made from a combination of mesh and cotton, or all cotton. Make one to store clean Funges and another to throw in the wash with used Funges. This would make a great gift for anyone. Have a baby shower coming up? Include a cut baby Funge and bath products. Bridal Shower? Housewarming? This is the perfect gift for everyone. You can make unsponges for sale in quantities less than 100 per year. You do not have to credit me for the pattern, but I appreciate it when you do. Fabric Requirements: 1/4 yard each cotton and terry, 1/4 yard mesh optional. This will make several sponges. If using scraps, 8" x 8" or larger pieces of fabric can be used. For the middle layer: Cotton or Bamboo Batting OR Terry Another suggestion for the "sponge" filling is contained in the pattern and available only to those who purchase the pattern.

You may see all of my pattern designs at www.muffinheadpatterns.com. All of my patterns are organized into categories and the links will take you here to purchase. My sales prices are exclusively on Craftsy. I began sewing as a child. Eventually, friends and family encouraged me to sell clothing. From there, I began to design my own patterns. Additionally, I have taught beginner and intermediate sewing and pattern making. When I am not drafting and testing patterns, I also offer custom labels and printing for other small businesses. My sewing and label making businesses are known as "Designing Twining" on the web, Facebook and Etsy. Interested in sewing classes? Visit http://www.designingtwining.com/sewing-lessons.html
