Tracie is a simple skirt with an elastic waistband and optional inseam pockets. Please refer to the measurement chart to find your size. The pattern includes a knee length and a maxi length. A pattern piece is included for an optional skirt lining. A lengthen/shorten line allows you to further customize the the hemline. This is the perfect skirt for all ages and occasions. Depending on fabric and embellishments the skirt can take you from weekend, to work or even to a wedding or other formal occasion. This pattern is sized for woven fabrics such as cotton, silk, satin, wool, linen, rayon, crepe, brocade, gabardine or poplin. If you would like to use knit fabric, please make a knee length muslin first to assess the fit. This is the perfect pattern for when you need a skirt immediately. Actual sewing time is less than two hours from start to finish. It is important to fit the skirt at the natural waist and alter the hip as necessary. Please see the body and finished measurements in the last photo for more information. The pattern supports layers in Adobe Reader so that you can print just the size(s) you wish. . This is an advanced beginner pattern. BASIC SKILLS NECESSARY For the basic version, without pockets, you just need to know how to transfer pattern markings and sew straight seams.

I began sewing as a child. Eventually, friends and family encouraged me to sell clothing. From there, I began to design my own patterns. Additionally, I have taught beginner and intermediate sewing and pattern making. When I am not drafting and testing patterns, I also offer custom labels and printing for other small businesses.
