Pattern Details

PLEASE NOTE: Both imperial and metric dimensions are now included in this pattern! The instructions are in English. I LOVE this tool holder and you will, too! It stands up easel-style next to your work area and keeps your most-used small tools easy to see and reach. If you want to take your tools to a class or retreat, Tooly easily folds up and protects your tools on-the-go--an elastic band or closure flap keeps it all together. Tooly is big enough to hold most everything except your large ruler and mat, yet is small enough to tuck into your basket or tote. The attached inner fleece flap can be used as a pincushion and as a mini design board. Fleece flap and pocket security flaps secure your tools when traveling. Tooly holds a 4"x8" (11cm x 22cm) cutting mat, 45mm rotary cutter, pins, needles, seam ripper, pencil(s), and more! Customize the pocket sizes if you like. Finished size is approximately 10"wide x 8"tall (25cm x 20cm).   Both imperial (pages 1-10) and metric (pages 8-17) measurements included. NEW  FEATURES with this updated version of the Tooly: Closure Flap, Pocket Security Flaps, and Handle Slightly larger dimensions for better tool accomodation Optional No-Sew Polar Fleece Pins and Needles Pad to accessorize your Tooly Interfacing added for more stability SKILLS  NEEDED: Hand-stitching an opening closed Rotary cutting and sewing straight seams MAIN SUPPLIES NEEDED: Fabric : 7/8  yard (0.90m) total, or assorted scraps Velcro (hook and loop tape) and mat boards Detailed supply list included with pattern

Sew Together
Sew Together
Since coloring in squares on graph paper with crayons as a preschooler (my early venture into quilt design?), my journey into the sewing and quilting world has been nonstop! I am mostly self-taught, which means I owe a lot to my 4-H teachers, my mother (for allowing me time to sew) contributors to the sewing magazines (and now blogs), and the traveling instructors at sewing expos, and of course my sewing friends--thank you, thank you, thank you! I worked and taught quilt classes and serger classes for over ten years at a local quilt shop. During that time I developed and patented the Sew Easy Guide, a tool for quilting and sewing diagonally across squares without marking or using paper. I hope to continue inventing sewing tools and designing patterns that are practical AND pretty. Thanks to Craftsy, sharing these designs will be easier than ever--thank you Craftsy!
