Pattern Details

The Monroe Bucket style bag was inspired by my love and respect for Marilyn Monroe. A fashion icon of her time, her curves were what both men and women loved about her. Curves are what make The Monroe so special. Two sizes are included in the pattern, a handbag size and a clutch size. The round base of The Monroe gives both bags plenty of room while still being small to medium bags. The pleats give additional width without making the opening too wide. The handbag size comes with two slip pockets, one interior zipped pocket and a recessed zip enclosure. The clutch size comes with four slip pockets and is perfect for any young lady to carry their date night essentials or a little girls dream handbag to match their mother's handbag size Monroe. Or how about a halloween clutch made in your favourite scary fabric, perfect to hold all those candies. I see the clutch size being very popular for makers who sell at craft fairs. The pattern comes with digitally drawn pattern pieces, step by step instructions and digitally drawn diagrams. Huff 'n Cuffs Patterns
Hi and Welcome to my Craftsy store, My name is Katherine. I learnt to sew as a young girl in school and while watching my mother sew on the weekends. In 2014 I discovered bag making and fell in love, passionately. It is all I could think about. I had just completed my Bachelor of Commerce after raising four daughters, and wasn't that interested in entering the corporate world. My brain not only works well with numbers, but it never stops being creative. This is how Huff 'n Cuffs was born. My granddaughter named the business Huff ‘n Cuffs when she was four years old, it was her way of saying Arts and Crafts. I invested in an industrial sewing machine and changed the spare room into my studio. I started making bags from other designers and learnt some amazing skills and new techniques, but I knew this wasn’t enough. My mind wanted to create. So now I am onto the next chapter of my life, making bag patterns. Follow my blog to receive an email when new patterns are released! Check out my Youtube Channel for video tutorials!
