This bag was created as a gift for my friend, Erica. She liked it so much that I decided to turn it into a pattern. If you haven't noticed, many of my patterns are named after special people in my life :) This bag is a fairly simple, but anything but boring. It is on the small to medium size with a gussetted side/bottom and one strap. You can make it out of all one fabric, or change it up a bit by making the sided & strap out of a coordinating print. Sometimes I get fancy and add some piping or rick-rack along the seams for a little punch. As always, having fun with it! Sewing the gusset may be a little challenging for a beginner, but with lots and lots of pins and some patience, you can do it!! I'm a mom of four who has a passion for making things in my spare time. Call me crazy, but if I didn't have this creative outlet I probably would be! I love collecting beautiful fabrics and using them to make bags, quilts, pillows and dresses for my girls. Aside from publishing my own PDF sewing patterns, my designs have been included in several books, including the Pretty Little series by Lark Books and the Craft Hope book, also by Lark. I've also contributed to the Stitch publication by Interweave Press.
