Pattern Details

This is a pdf sewing pattern, not a finished item. You will need Adobe Reader to download the pattern and a printer to print the pattern. Do not purchase if you want a finished item. The pattern includes both English and Western size patterns. If you would like a finished product, please send us a message. "Bag of Chips" is a versatile pattern. Make one Western size bag to use as a spur bag. Make two to sew stirrup covers. The bag or stirrup covers may be lined with fleece and are fully reversible when lined. We suggest fleece or flannel for the lining. You may also omit the lining if you prefer. You can use them as cosmetic or travel bags, gift bags, virtually anything you wish. As stirrup covers, they protect a saddle from scratches and rubs. You are welcome to sell items made from this pattern in quantities less than 100 per year. The pattern is not intended for mass production. Fabric Requirements: 60 ” WIDE FABRIC ½ YARD FOR THE OUTER, ½ YARD FOR THE LINING AND CASING. 45” WIDE FABRIC: ¾ YARD FOR THE OUTER, 1 YARD FOR THE LINING AND CASING. 36" DRAWSTRING FOR TWO BAGS CORD LOCK (OPTIONAL) Please ask any questions you have before purchasing. "For the Love of Horses" is the name my daughter chose for her fundraiser. She is sewing small items to sell for the benefit of two horses at the barn where she takes riding lessons. These patterns are not for equestrians only. They are designed to be useful to everyone.

You may see all of my pattern designs at All of my patterns are organized into categories and the links will take you here to purchase. My sales prices are exclusively on Craftsy. I began sewing as a child. Eventually, friends and family encouraged me to sell clothing. From there, I began to design my own patterns. Additionally, I have taught beginner and intermediate sewing and pattern making. When I am not drafting and testing patterns, I also offer custom labels and printing for other small businesses. My sewing and label making businesses are known as "Designing Twining" on the web, Facebook and Etsy. Interested in sewing classes? Visit
