The scissor bag is a true beginners item and goes perfectly well with Debbie Coles 'Boxy Bag'. I had come across her site 'SoSewEasy' and immediately thought what a great idea it was for my sewing courses. It certainly more attractive then my tool box and my student absolutely loved making them. The Internet is just brilliant because you can follow some of our projects 'online' and this one gives you all the accessory templates free of charge. So here we make a start with my scissor pouch. A simple idea but not quite so simple once you get going.... Lucky for you I have already made all the mistakes so you don't have to. The pattern was changed more times then I care to remember but now it works perfectly! BASIC SKILLS NECESSARY Sewing straight!!! SIZING / FINISHED MEASUREMENTS 28cm x 12cm / 11" x 5"

Supplies Needed

  • 30 cm (1/3 yard) of material for the outside

Sewing has always been my hobby and my profession. I first trained as a tailor as a young girl after which I worked for some fabulous designers. To fit work around my son I became a teacher of Textiles and Product Design. When my son finished school and moved to the USA I decided to start my own business and do what I love best; draft patterns and teach beginners and advanced sewers how to make their projects look professional. I hope you enjoy my patterns and instruction. Now we followed our boy to the US and I get to sew in the beautiful Californian sunshine!
