This tote is great for an Easter basket and more! I designed it to fit my daughter's Barbie dolls and their clothes and accessories (there is one long interior pocket for clothes, and a divided pocket for shoes and accessories). This tote is also perfect for carrying knitting, crocheting and hand-sewing projects and supplies, plus magazines, patterns and files. It's great in a nursery for diapers and creams. This pattern contains cutting instructions but no pattern pieces. Your machine (and you!) should be able to handle sewing through thick layers. This is a great pattern for a confident beginner with some sewing experience under her belt, primarily because of the layers - otherwise, all steps are explained and easy enough to follow for a new sewist. This e-book contains 21 pages and more than 60 photographs that show all the steps for making this tote. There are two handle styles included - center handles for a tote, or side handles for a basket. BASIC SKILLS NECESSARY Use a sewing machine Sew through thick layers SIZING / FINISHED MEASUREMENTS 13" wide x 9" high x 5" deep

Recommended with this pattern

  • 1/2 to 1 1/4 yards of 44" wide fabric (depending on if you have an all-over print or if you want to fussy cut a center design)
  • 1 yard of 44" wide fabric for lining and pockets
  • 3/4 yard of ultra firm, one-sided fusible interfacing
