Once a friend of my son left his donkey here. Almost a year later my son noticed her down in the woods, but there was something beside her with big long ears. Baby Donk! Who knew? Anyway the boy finally came and retrieved his critters. Another story, my son's phone made a coyote howl when it rang. He was building a house and set his phone down in a safe place. When it rang, the neighbor's donkeys came running, looking for the enemy. I like donkeys, after all a donkey carried Mary and later Jesus on their journeys. They are farm animals and sometimes pack animals. So I chose them as one of my Rodeo/Farm Series of Patterns. If your pattern prints and does not fill the page, please enlarge to 120%. I am a retired teacher, and former day care director. I am a grandmother. I live on a small farm, surrounded by larger farms with hay fields, cows, horses, dogs, cats, deer, wild turkey etc. I keep chickens. Mine are all different colors and breeds. I love them, they are great entertainment. My mother taught me to sew when I was 10. It is a life long pleasure. I have made stick horses for years. First I made them for my young son and the kids of friends. Then I made them to help my class raise money, then my son's class asked for them. Then came the Stick Horse Rodeo and I added the bulls. Along came grand kids and more fundraisers, and more but different animals joined my barnyard.
