PATTERN DETAILS

Do you want to use reusable shopping bags but don't want to spend money on the flimsy bags available from grocery stores? This pattern was designed to make reusable grocery bags from non-woven polypropylene fabric, or olefin. This pattern will also work with ticking, duck cloth, canvas and most home dcor fabrics if you are unable to find the non-woven PP fabric locally. The pattern was designed so that the bags you make from this fabric are sturdy. They wont tear easily. And they will stand up on their own without piping. This pattern is easy for beginning sewers and will work for experienced sewers as well. It includes instructions on how to make a pattern out of freezer paper. It also includes dimensions for rotary cutters. If you are not sure how to rotary cut please check out my free tutorial in my store. Nice to meet you! My name is Aimee and I love to sew. And knit. And do crafts. And I love cats. In fact the cats make an occasional appearance in my patterns. They make a lot of appearances. Because they love to sew, AKA lay on my fabric. They always say necessity is the mother of invention and it is true! Most of my patterns and tutorials came about because my kids and I needed something. Mostly my kids. Ok, really my kids. Truth is I have learned how to shut and lock the doors to my sewing room and ignore the knocking. But seriously, I love to have fun and sew and I hope you enjoy my humor and the items you make from my patterns!
