I love Christmas decorcations, making a little something to bring to someone's home when I visit and even personallizing the doll to look like them. Experience: Beginner This is a PDF pattern, immediate gratification - You will need: body fabric. fabric for legs (stripes work well) fleece or felt for jacket, hat and boots. Fibrefill Embroidery floss, Bells and/or other embellishments Yarn for hair Pattern may be enlarged on a photocopier to change size of the dolls. Pattern size makes a 15 - 16 inch elves. Three head variations. Character Each creation becomes unique, different colour bodies, arms, and costumes colours are as unique as facial expressions. Try a variety of colours and create you own cast. Try placing the eyes close together, far apart or slight askew and see who your elf wants to be. Costumes can be as elaborate as you wish. Use basic fleece or use a piece of your favourite old quilt for the jacket, boots and hat. Hair can be made of fleece or cloth strips sewn on by machine or by hand, glue on a wig or use yarn (there are some great fuzzy ones out there) and each decision you make will change the nature of your little elf. Don't be afraid to experiment. It doesn't have to look like the picture!
