Time for some cozy holiday hand making! This original PDF pattern is the tenth in my series of twelve ornament projects based on the 1780 Twelve Days of Christmas carol. Other pattern designs will follow until the series is complete! For more information on this ornament series as well as links to tips, link to Benzie Design's coordinating felt/floss kits and also a link to Felt On The Fly's kits, please visit this link on my blog: http://mmmcrafts.blogspot.com/p/twelve-days.html This pattern shows you how to make a colorful, embroidered Piper Piping ornament for your Christmas tree or for special handmade gifting. It is sewn entirely by hand. Choose your own colors or follow my pre-chosen colors of felt and floss (see this post on my blog: http://mmmcrafts.blogspot.com/p/twelve-days.html). There is room on the back of the ornament to personalize with initials and date if you like. HOW HARD ARE THESE TO MAKE? If you can do precision cutting, basic hand stitches (running stitch, whipstitch, backstitch and French knot) and are familiar with sewing and embroidery terms, then you can make this project and make it well! HERE'S WHY: this pattern utilizes a Sulky brand water-soluble stabilizer which makes putting the ornament together easy, fast and accurate. The design prints or copies directly on the stabilizer, which is then adhered to the felt, and you embroider right on top of it! NO TEDIOUS PATTERN TRACING OR EMBROIDERY TRANSFER. Fantastic! (If you can't use the Sulky stabilizer, I've also included tips for that.) The 19-page Piper Piping pattern features: 4 x 5.5 inch wool felt piper ornament with embroidery 3.5 inch hanging loop Neat, digitally drawn, actual-sized pattern pieces that do not overlap Step-by-step instructions with clear, professionally drawn diagrams and color sample photos Resources section with stitching diagrams, tips and supply links Materials used to make this ornament are commonly available. They include: wool or wool-blend felts, cotton pipe cleaners, unfinished wood beads, embroidery floss, stuffing and a Sulky printable stabilizer. A complete list of materials is in the photo of the pattern page above. Hover over to zoom and read through it. This pattern is in PDF format on 8.5 x 11 inch paper, so you can print it from your regular printer at home on standard paper and printable stabilizer, as many times as you need for personal use. This pattern PDF will be available for INSTANT DOWNLOAD once your payment is completed! CHECK MY SHOP FOR OTHER ORNAMENTS IN THIS TWELVE DAYS PATTERN SERIES.
