I have always been a bit crafty - cutting and gluing since I can remember. My real passion for sewing was sparked about 12 years ago after emigrating to Australia from the UK and buying my very own sewing machine. Up to then I’d always borrowed mum’s when I’d felt the urge to get stitchy. With a sewing machine in the house 24/7 I just wanted to sew sew sew! I’ll often be found with a cuppa by my side and needle & thread in hand doing what I love best. My eclectic style & taste see’s me flitting between the simple to the whimsy, the traditional with a modern twist to slow cooked hand stiches, from muted tones to a rainbow spectrum and beyond. A love for vintage and retro just adds to the mix and I’m never quite sure what’s going to emerge from the sewing room next! I really love the online quilting community & enjoy connecting through it by sharing projects & tutorials via my blog I have contributed projects to 2 books, Zakka Style compiled by Rashida Coleman-Hale and Sew to Swap by Chrissie Grace. Over the past few months I have released my first sewing patterns with ideas for more brewing....
