I have a tendency to obsess over characters and costumes. I was introduced to the Mord'Sith of Terry Goodkind's Sword of Truth books in high school and later the television series they inspired called Legend of the Seeker. It took me probably 15 years to get around to making this costume. I share the details of my construction efforts on my blog and because of that I have folks hunting me down to get a hold of the pattern for their own use. I'm happy to share! The caveat is that the pattern comes with NO ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS (at least for the moment). All leather strapping has to be cut to your measurements so only slots and rivet placement is indicated. There are no patterns for straps. The pattern is drafted without seam allowance for the most part so that it can be used with leather but the photos of my armor are showing faux leather over super heavy non-woven interfacing. I cut the interfacing to pattern size, glued it to the faux leather and then wraped the leather around the edges and top stitched with an embroidery stitch to simulate tooling. Following this link will take you to all related posts on my blog with photographs, a video for the hair style and discussion of materials used and substitutions. Please feel free to contact me with questions about sources and construction! BASIC SKILLS NECESSARY sew with leather work without instructions SIZING / FINISHED MEASUREMENTS Medium 10/12
