Pattern Details

This listing is for a .pdf instant download of a plush sewing pattern, made to look like a plush mochi treat, a Japanese confection of sticky rice dough filled with various sweet fillings. It comes with variations to make 5 different animals: fox, alpaca, panda, bunny, and kitty. And also more than 10 different facial features so you can mix and match to create a unique character! It is a sewing pattern with complete instructions to create the plush from start to finish -- including step-by-step photos and a printable pattern. It includes extra info on choosing fabrics, tools to get started, printing your pattern, and cutting your fabric. This project is not recommended for absolute beginners, but I do my best to explain everything in detail for those rogue newbies that want a challenge :)

Recommended with this pattern

  • 1/4 yd. of fleece or minky type fabric
  • For fox or panda: 4" x 12" of accent black fabric for ears & tail
  • For fox or alpaca: 4" x 7" of accent white fabric for ears

Sew Desu Ne?
Sew Desu Ne?
Hello! My name is Choly Knight and I'm a seamstress of over 15 years from Orlando, Florida. I've been sewing since middle school and have yet to put my machine away. I'm the author of several craft books from Fox Chapel Publishing, including Sew Kawaii!, the Sew Me! series, Craft Projects for Minecraft, and more to come! I studied Art and English in college, so it's been a dream come true getting to work in a field that lets me combine my passions for writing, fine art, and craft art. I'm deeply inspired by Asian and Japanese art and craft as well as anime and kawaii style. The anime community has been more supportive than anyone as I ventured to learn to sew, so you'll find my designs are heavily influenced by that style.
