I was thrilled when Amy Butler reissued one of her older fabric collections "Belle"! I remember when her first collections came out and how much the bold patterns and imagery inspired me to sew and use colors in ways I had never before. This pillow top can be made using pre-cut strips of fabrics from a jelly roll, or it can be made with any strips of your favorite old (or new!) fabrics. It's always fun rummaging through my fabric stash, and hopefully this pillow top project will remind you of all your favorite sewing projects as well. This pattern has been designed so you can fold it and assemble into a booklet form for easier use and storage. I practiced Interior Architecture for 12 years before opening an arts and crafts store in Kansas City, Missouri called Urban Arts + Crafts. There I taught jewelry making classes and began designing the sewing and knitting patterns which we used in our classes. This fused my love of crafting with my love of design. Currently I am designing jewelry, sewing patterns and working on my blog. You'll find jewelry designs, tutorials, free sewing patterns and can take a peek at some of our home renovation projects. My husband who is an Architect, and my 3 very curious cats, can also be seen "helping out".
