Pattern Details

This would be a fun project to use to teach your daughter how to sew. Make her Christmas stocking a sweet memory. Simple to follow and fun. This is the burlap stocking pattern you have been looking for. Simply the best, most thorough pattern for making burlap stockings. If you want to make heirloom quality stockings, this pattern will walk you through it. In the sewing pattern I show you how I work with burlap and appliques to make sturdy, fully lined, professional looking stockings. These are burlap on the front, feature fabric on the back. The way I do the underlining, interfacing and the quilting on these gives them a very professional look and feel. It is a very easy project in which you are likely to learn some new techniques that you can apply to other projects in the future, including how to work with piping. Use this sewing pattern to help you make over your own mantle this year with coordinating Christmas Stockings for the whole family. Cottage licensing included for those of you who would like to make stockings for sale. Finished Stockings are 16" long and 8" wide at the opening. SIZING / FINISHED MEASUREMENTS 16" long and 8" wide at the opening

Like so many sewists I know, I have been sewing since the age of 6. I started at my mother's feet, fashioning her scraps into doll clothes. By age 16, I was spending Summers sewing my wardrobe for the coming school year. I was known as a creative dresser. I wrote my first sewing pattern in 2006 as part of applying for a patent. Now I have thousands of satisfied sewing pattern customers and am very happy to be part of the online sewing community. See books that feature my work and follow my various adventures on my blog.
