Are you looking for an insulated lunch bag that is super cute as well as functional? With this in-depth pattern, you can make one in no time! This pattern will make a good-sized Esky-style lunch bag suitable for a child or a grownup. It has waterproof lining for easy cleaning and care. I sell these handmade lunch bags on Etsy as well, but since they are very popular, I decided to write the pattern as well. You'll enjoy working with different materials, and perhaps learn a new skill or two, such as: * how to insert a zipper * how to make a lined zipper bag * how to work with materials like nylon and Insul-Bright * how to make a bag with a flat bottom. You can see more photos of finished sample lunch bags here: You can also read more about this lunch bag in my blog post here: The best part of the pattern is its new format: I use a landscape, presentation-style format with large, clear photos (and so many of them, too), and easy-to-follow steps in large text, presented in bullet points. It is perfect for viewing on your laptop screen or tablet as you sew, without the need to be printed out. I actually won't recommend printing it out if you can help it. The PDF pattern is 20+ pages long, and will take a lot of paper and ink. I hope you'll love the pattern as much as I do. I spent a lot of time working on it, so even a beginner should be able to make this bag. I had FIVE people test out the pattern for me, and they all raved about it! If you have questions, just send me an email at Happy sewing... happy lunch time! Hello! I design and make handmade accessories for kids and grownups, using a lot of lovely Japanese fabrics, both traditional and contemporary. I also love using organic fabrics as much as possible, and to make eco-friendly products such as wet bags and reusable lunch bags. My website is here: My shop on Etsy is here: I live in Sydney, Australia, with my 5-year-old girl and 3-year-old boy, along with a lovely partner, a couple of chickens and a stray rabbit. I am passionate about sewing, and I love to teach beginners how to sew. I had a zakka sewing class at my home last year, and this year, I'm writing beginner-friendly patterns and instructions for some of my popular zakka items. So stay tuned!
