Pattern Details

FILE IS ZIPPED. If you cannot download a ZIP, email me after your purchase is complete and I will email you the individual files directly. This bundle contains patterns for four knit dresses- play, crossover, party, and hip- originally designed and sewn by Hazelbee Baby. They have standardized measurements, with mix-n-match bodices and sleeves. There are 20 basic combinations included, and sizes run from 3 months to a girls 8/9. They are designed to fit long and lean, and skirt hems should hit around the knee. This pattern expects that you have basic sewing knowledge- hemming, gathering, and sewing with knits. It will not explain these steps in detail- rather it will allow you to use your skill and machines to do them in the way you prefer. The pattern is designed with seam allowance and stretch for serging, but feel free to use other machines and stitches as you feel appropriate. Purchasing this pattern constitutes license for a single individual or business. Please respect my time and effort and do not share or duplicate. You are free to sell any item that you make from the pattern, but not the pattern itself. If you do sell dresses from the pattern, I would appreciate credit for the pattern design.

Hazelbee Patterns
I started Hazelbee in November of 2010 because my daughter was 5 months old and not doing well with me gone at my full time 5th grade teaching job. One of my 5th graders doodled my little bee logo, and I started selling tees and skirties to coordinate with our cloth diapers. With spring on the way, I designed my first sundress pattern. I've been sewing them ever since! Through the years, I made many improvements and modifications. I expanded my line to additional bodices and added a variety of sleeves. I perfected the look and fit that I was going for by sewing literally thousands of these dresses under the name Hazelbee Baby on Hyena Cart. As my line of patterns expanded, so did my family <3 Oliver came along in April 2012, and then in 2014 we were surprised with little baby June. Early on in the pregnancy, I had severe, life-threatening complications. I spent most of the year in and out of the ER and admitted to the hospital or at doctor's appointments. My sewing time became severely diminished until in the end I had to close up prematurely for maternity leave and go on bed rest. Baby June is nearing her 1st birthday now, and life with 3 was much more difficult to acclimate to than life with 2. My June has her own schedule and her own set of health issues that made my victorious return to Hazelbee less victorious than I had hoped. I was never again able to get on top of my orders and stay on schedule. With a heavy heart, in May 2015 I announced that I was shutting down. For years my dress patterns have been closely guarded. I put years of my life into perfecting them and sewing them. But now it's time to send them out into the world. Little girls have been wearing these dresses for almost 5 years and my hands made EVERY SINGLE ONE. It's a little sad to let them go, but I am excited for this change. I'm glad that all those years of work don't just go away and get forgotten. I'm glad that I can pass off the pieces to other seamstresses. That is the story of the HBB dresses. I hope you love them like I do.
