But it's also sophisticated enough for the older girls. The sleeve and collar options make this a great staple for your school wardrobe! Use simple fabric for an everyday dress, or use plaids in your child's school colors to make it look like a school uniform. You can even dress it up with a neck tie! A cutting chart for a simple gathered skirt is also included. This dress has a lined bodice with button or snap closures at the front. The sash ties at the hip. This pattern is suitable for an adventurous beginner or intermediate seamstress and will teach you various sewing techniques, such as how to make box pleats and how to add buttons. Pattern pieces and instructions for sizes 12m to 12, plus 18" doll are included. This pattern includes both pattern pieces and cutting charts. I have been sewing and crafting for about 25 years. With the birth of my daughter and my ability to be a stay at home mom, I have really gotten back into sewing. I love to make cute little outfits, and wanted to be able to share them with you!! While I really love all the frilly dresses out there, they take YARDS of fabric and are not real practical for everyday wear. My goal is to create outfits that are good for everyday wear, but still really cute!
