What could be more fun than a custom pillowcase?! What better way to brighten up a bed?! A pillowcase makes a great gift for a kid or an adult. Goes together quickly and inexpensively. It can be customized to the recipient's personality. These instructions feature the french seam technique which leaves no raw edges. Pillowcases can be washed over and over and you will not have to deal with pesky raveled threads. After making a hockey quilt for my son's bed, I wanted him to having coordinating pillowcases. I applied the french seam technique to a pillowcase to eliminate unraveling from washing. Visit for a wonderful selection of fabrics and some pre-coordinated pillowcase kits. My name is Nancy and I am the mother of two amazing teenagers, one daughter and one son. They are both hockey players. I am married to a wonderful man who is my biggest supporter and without whom, my dream of establishing an online quilt shop,, would not have become a reality. I started my career in the 1980’s in the construction industry, as one of very few women at the time. I proudly worked my way up to the role as Chief Estimator for a commercial metal stud framing and drywall contractor. Along the way, in the early 2000’s, I found my inner passion for quilting. I created an online quilt shop as a portal to share my passion for not just the luscious fabrics available today, but also for the process of creating wonderful quilts and projects. carries only top quality quilt fabric and patterns to offer you an enjoyable shopping experience. What else do I love besides my family and quilting? Chocolate, the beach, Christmas and my pets, who are technically part of my family, but I hadn’t mentioned them before. Three long hair dachshunds (2 miniature and 1 standard) – Lilo, Stitch and Noni, and one calico cat named Minnie.
