This folk quilt enchants with a central appliqued fairy tree. Three stars are sewn onto a very detailed tree. The applique and the quilting are done at the same time. The appliques are sewn with raw edges. These are designed to fray to the sewn edges and give a cozy, folk feel to the quilt. There are no time consuming satin stitches or messy glue paper. The outer edges of the quilt has a ruffled rag finish. This quilt would be beautiful to hang or to use every day. It can be enjoyed by all ages. The tree applique could be used for pillows or paper decorations as well. This pattern includes 6 pages of complete easy to follow numbered step by step directions, 5 photos and 13 pages of full size pattern pages. The pattern is written with metric units in parenthesis.
