I was always curious about cathedral quilts and loved the look of them. When I read the instructions in my quilting book for how to do it, I thought "No way will I ever have time to do one of those." One day an idea struck me about how to put it together in a different way. After much experimentation and many hours of hard work (that I enjoyed) I have created this tote pattern as a fun and simple way for you to enjoy the fruits of that idea. Once you get the technique down, it is fun to do this kind of piecing for table runners too. It is a fun project and looks fabulous as a tote or easy table runner.
