Time for some cozy holiday hand making! This original PDF pattern is the fourth in my series of twelve ornament projects based on the Twelve Days of Christmas. Other pattern designs will follow until the series is complete! (Colly Bird, an Old English term for blackbird, is the original term in the song and was later replaced by 'calling bird'. But you can make your bird any color you like!) This pattern shows you how to make colorful, embroidered colly bird ornaments for your Christmas tree or for special handmade gifting. It is sewn entirely by hand. Choose your own colors and customize them to any holiday decor. There is room on the back of the ornament to personalize with a name and date. If you can do basic hand stitches, precision cutting, and are familiar with sewing and embroidery terms, then you can do this project!
