PATTERN DETAILS

This festive jacket design was the answer to finding a way to increase the size for generous sized women when I was making my jackets from sweatshirts to sell. This design has become a wonderfully stylish jacket appropriate for any 'celebration' occasion. I've worn the black one to holiday parties - and no one believes that it started as...a sweatshirt! BOTH methods for fit are now included in this pattern! If taking out sweatshirt excess under the arm as I did for both of these jackets, use a size sweatshirt just big enough for you - NO bigger. Patterns are included PDF in the pattern to 'see' the sweatshirt as 'fabric + matching ribbing' - in which case, use a 2XL sweatshirt. This is a Talking Pattern which means at the URL given in the pattern, you will find ALL the photos of EVERY step, along with my personally-recorded audio directions for each step IN ADDITION to the written directions in the pattern! BASIC SKILLS NECESSARY Medium Sewing Skills However, with my Talking Pattern directions - it will be EZ!

Mom taught me to sew - then put me on a clothing allowance: $25/MONTH - but that was back in 1966. The ONLY way I could satisfy my clothing appetite was to make it myself. That lead to a major in Home Ec., managing a craft store, custom dressmaking - running my own fabric store/machine dealership from 1990 - 2003, and now I travel the country presenting my classes une, 2016, I'm operating more out of my wonderful home Sunroom Sewing Studio in Jackson, TN. . I have a website: www.londas-sewing.com, blog, facebook, pinterest - all that good stuff and try to do it all - but well. Goal: sharing the love of creative sewing!
