Cabotin is a large and versatile tote bag, easily customizable to make it show your signature style for any occasion. A perfect canvas to showcase a texture, a beautiful print or express your creativity! Cabotin closes with a magnetic snap and a bias trim brings contrast to the upper edge and handles. The interior of the bag is neat and well organized with 2 large pockets: a partitioned patch pocket and a zippered pocket. Optional : bag bottom and feet. #A word about the name of this pattern# As this is a French play on words : tote is "cabas" in French so cabas + Sacotin = Cabotin. Cabotin also means something in French, it could be translated as "show off" when speaking of a person... but in a cute way ;). #Instructions and pattern# Instructions for the pattern are 20 pages long including 8 pages for the full scale pattern. Seam allowance is included and measurements are given **both in cm and inches.** In the PDF file you will find : -Detailed and illustrated sewing instructions -Full scale pattern -A list of essential supplies -Instructions for pattern tile assembly -A cutting layout #Also in French# The pattern and instructions presented here are in English, but being French, I'm selling both the French and English versions of this pattern on my website : SIZING / FINISHED MEASUREMENTS Width 34 cm (13 1/2") Height 35 cm (14") Depth 10 cm (4")

Hi I'm Véronique Pinson (you can call me Véro), Sacôtin founder and designer. I'm French and after living in the US (Washington DC) and the UK (Brighton) for a while, I've settled down back in France, in Provence to be precise. I've just launch my line of Bag sewing patterns available both in English and in French. A long-time dream coming true ! #About Sacôtin bag patterns# I create bags that I would like myself and, having very eclectic taste in bags, you will find a great diversity of patterns. For me, bags are the ultimate accessory, the most enjoyable, the accessory that really shows your personality, that allows you to play with styles, to add a touch of fantasy, to have fun and treat yourself. And, because a bag is useful for carrying around all your bits and bobs, it also needs to be practical! #About Sacôtin pattern instructions# I write the instructions just as I would like to read them myself : I put myself in your shoes. I want clear, illustrated instructions that lead me step by step; thus they are something to which I pay particular attention.
