This is a 2 for 1 pattern for 2 Doxie Softie Sewing Patterns. A larger one (14in by 7in) and a small one (10in by 5in). This pattern is simple and great for beginners or sewing a fast toy. Key Words: Doxie, Dachshund, Dog, Puppy, Softie, Plushie, Stuffed Animal, Toy Needed: 1. 1ft by 1ft square of Fabric 2. Scissors and/or a Rotary Cutter 3. 2 Buttons or Beads or small black fabric circles or other items to use as eyes Directions: 1. Print out all pattern pieces. If you are making the larger Doxie toy, attach both sides of the pattern at the dotted line. 2. Using the pattern, from the fabric of your choice cut out two bodies and two ears. 3. Sew the ears to the top of the head of each side of the pattern. Turn the pieces inside out and sew the two pieces together being careful to tuck the ears up so that they don’t get sewn to the other side. Leave a gap below the tail to stuff the Doxie. 4. Turn the Doxie inside out. 5. Stuff the Doxie using fluff or fabric and thread scraps. You will need to use something long and skinny like a pen to guide the stuffing into the extremities. 6. Sew the last gap shut. 7. Sew on the eyes of your choice. 8. You are done! Enjoy your new Doxie!
