That's going to be a really special quilt for your daughter (and for you, too!) Quilting is such a wonderful way to link the past to the present, and to keep the two of you together, even though she is far away.

Thank you so much Peggy. I think it's going to be some kind of bag for her but I'm not sure yet. It does help keep her close to me in my mind.

The block is awesome... but the back story is way touching! I'm making things out of the fabrics I never got sewn together for my girls (for THEIR girls) embarrassing much? I think I'm going to call my BOM my redemption quilt...! hehe

LOL! I still have fabrics from my boys too! These classes have been so much fun and now I can finally use up my old fabrics that have been neglected for so long. And I too eill be sewing for my son's daughter! Redemtion quilt has a nice ring to it Hee hee!
