Zeke's 1st birthday quilt

What was your source for this quilting project? Online Photo or Website Name of website or photo Signs of the seasons crazy patch Link to website or photo www.ConnectingThreads.com/patterns/Signs_of_the_Season_Crazy_Patch_Block__D991238.html What are you most proud of? That I was able to teaching myself that paper piecing technique (but it still needs fine tuneing...I've started another project with the same pattern) and that this is the first quilt that I have completely machine stitched using free-motion. I've been experimenting with free-motion for a while but would only use it for bits and pieces, relaying mostly in stitch inthe ditch. What advice would you give someone starting this project? I cut my fabric using 5 1/2 inch squares, but if you want to use less fabric and are willing to spend the time, you can make templates. I wanted each square to be different so didn't make templates and used the scraps to make a pillow. I found this slightly time consuming, but again it was the first time attempting paper piecing, so to allow time for your project, it's not something you'll get done in a day...unless you're really good :)

You Can Make This

Stitches1104 made Zeke's 1st birthday quilt with:

  • 100% cotton both for top and backing from connecting threads and I used warm & natural for the batting.
