Project

Yay! Finally Done! This Was Fun!

What are you most proud of? I wanted to make a bag that was very colorful and reminded me of one of the quilts I had made. Also, I wanted it to be made of darker colors to take me from late summer into fall. What advice would you give someone starting this project? Give yourself some time to complete this project and have patience.

  • For the main body of the bag I used 100% cotton scraps that I had left over from a few quilts that I had made. Then
  • I used a blue canvas cotton fabric for the bottom. My utility cloth was an off white denim that I purchased in the drapery/upholstery area of the fabric shop.

Q&A with Glassfish1

tmr asked:
Very pretty! Your bag looks more structured. Is it because of the white denim do you think? I love your colors!
Glassfish1 answered:
The white denim was very soft, so I don't think it was that. Perhaps I used a heavier interfacing.
