work in progress, my first big bargello

Project Description

What are you most proud of? this is only my fifth quilt ever. This was a learning experience for sure. I free motion quilted it all myself, did quilt as you go binding, I also added a flange to my binding which I had never done. So the thing I"m most proud of is all the learning I did through making it.:) What advice would you give someone starting this project? Take the intro to Bargello class. the tips really helped!!:) also if you want to make something big and don't want to hassle with it, try the quilt as you go binding method, it was super easy but seems like iit is going to be hard:)

What you will need

  • Stonehenge black/gray/white
  • balipop batiks from light blue to black. Aurifil for piecing
  • Isacord for the quilting. all done on my Janome 8900.

Looks awesome, and the flame quilting works very nicely in this pattern! You just might have inspired me to try my hand again at bargello (my first attempt did not go well) Congrats, and please post more pics when it's done. ;-) :-) :-) :-)
