Winding Ways Experiment Lap/Crib Quilt

Project Description

What are you most proud of? We love the look of the 50's. This brown and turquoise fabric gave that retro flair to a great quilting pattern! Anne Petersen's class is fantastic. Once I watched this segment, I just had to give it a try! What advice would you give someone starting this project? Start out with two colors that have high contrast and seeing the awesome circles forming before your eyes as you sew the blocks together!

What you will need

  • Cotton fabric
  • Winding Ways templates from Anne Petersen's class Playing with Curves
  • rotary cutter with ruler and mat. Stacked Circle Templates from Kimmy Brunner's web store.

Q&A with Pamelyn

Ann Petersen asked:
I love your colors and the blocks look fantastic. It is a really cool pattern to play with, isn't it?
Pamelyn answered:
Yes, it is! I have a three color idea for it too.
Kitts asked:
Wow! That looks really sharp!
Pamelyn answered:
Thanks Kitts! See my blog for updates on it's progress.
Loralye2 asked:
Hi Pam... I think we kinda sorta know each other!!! Love the quilt. It looks great! I had something similar to this pattern in my head for a long time! I have the templates for winding ways but haven't played with them yet! I also have the book with different ways to use the templates. Your arrangement is awesome!
Pamelyn answered:
Hi! How do we know each other? Winding Ways is a great pattern, no doubt! I had to make up my own templates for the part around the outer edges.
