Winding Ways - Batiks

What are you most proud of? I'm proud of my piecing on this one. very good results using Ann's instructions except I didn't use many pins, I confess. I also deliberately used a lot of different fabrics, but tried to keep with a dark/light, light/dark theme for some contrast. To me it looks like a kaleidoscope. What advice would you give someone starting this project? I did re-draft the pattern because the one in the course materials was not exactly symmetrical. I made myself a set of plastic templates so I can make this block again.
