Project Description

What are you most proud of? I really LOVE doing the cathedral windows background; it's slow going, but looks great (even though they are a little wonky in places...) What advice would you give someone starting this project? LOVE this class!

What you will need

  • Batik top fabric
  • Warm & Natural cotton batting
  • and Shadowplay quilter's cotton backing. Quilted with Superior Threads' 40wt Magnifico poly thread.

Wendy...this is just breathtaking!!! wow! The color choice of your threads on that oh-so-fabulous fabric is amazing. Very nice work...congratulations! :)
AZWendyG answered:
Thank you Cindy! You've really helped me with exactly how to lay out wholecloth designs and I'm having a great time with them. I've got 3 more of these placemats to do and am going to be trying out different designs on each one. ;-)
Dena_Living Water Quilter asked:
Very nice! I love the center feather design
AZWendyG answered:
Thanks, that's one of my favorite feather designs also. It's easy to do and you can add all sorts of variations for different looks. I originally tried it after viewing a youtube video of something similar and it has evolved into this.
