Q&A with Thread Head

Cindy Needham asked:
Your quilting continues to give me bumps...thank you for inspiring all of us...Cindy :)
Thread Head answered:
Thank-you so much! I have having so much fun sewing, and thinking of new ways to put designs together.
karenquiltz asked:
This is so classy and creative. I really like the divisions between quilting areas. Do you backtrack on your feathers? If so, I couldn't see it... what is your secret? Monofilament?
Thread Head answered:
Thanks for all your kind comments Karen! There is lots of backtracking on the feathers. I use 100Wt Invisafil thread (by Wonderfil) - a very fine, coloured, polyester thread. It is my favourite for FMQ. It is just like 100Wt silk thread, but much cheaper, so great for practicing.
