What are you most proud of? Using the techniques learned in several Carftsy classes. "Machine Quilting Negative space" I used the fabric key to choose the fabrics I chose the patterns to quilt it with and drew them on paper to practice. I used the breaking up method. "Color play for quilters" I chose a magazine picture to draw the color scheme from "Art quilting 101" I used some of the applique methods. I also used searching for the art quilter with in. " Leah Day's Library of free motion quilting designs" I went to Leah Day's site and chose these patterns. These are the designs I chose.... Leah Day's #84.Chain of Pearls Leah Day's #53.Heart Paisley Leah Day's #15.Flowing Glass Leah Day's #141.Swirling Water These four I used strategicly for the negative space between the dresdens and planets and moons. Leah Day's #26.Feather Filler I used this one on the plain parts of the dresden blades. Leah Day's #30.Trailing Tears Leah Day's #15.Flowing Glass Leah Day's #141.Swirling Water I used these three for the planets Leah Day's #66.Dresden Daisies I used this one on the edges of the quilt One planet is the signed label. "One of my fellow students on Craftsy that I follow. Dawny Duck's" BOM July Dresden I used her example of the dresden July block of the Month 2012 course, which I saved in 2012. In November 2013 - I made 5 of these dresden plate blocks with the inspired color scheme. What advice would you give someone starting this project? I was not sure how to post this quilt, because I put so much thought and watched so many videos over and over to accomplish it. After much thought I put it in this class, Because it is truely an art quilt.
