Unification Blocks

Project Description

What are you most proud of? That I realized I needed to showcase these fabrics and then figured out how to do it, and it turned out better than I'd imagined. What advice would you give someone starting this project? Have fun. Take risks. Do what you want! Learn a ton!

Q&A with AlyxRansom

NanaJeanFL asked:
I love this Alyx! You've obviously put a lot of thought and created a beautiful answer to the challenge. Makes me wish I had enough fabric to do the same thing with my 1st colorway. As is this could help with my BW&R since I've used more than one background.... Thanks for sharing, And LOVE this block!
AlyxRansom answered:
Thanks! When I put all the blocks I had done on a huge design board (at a Beach Retreat with 19 other seamsters) I realized I had several fabrics that were in the quilt, but had gotten short shrift. I wanted to highlight them to unify the whole piece. I'm very happy with how these blocks turned out. There will be one in each column. I'm thinking we'll have four colums of five rows each. That's probably right, you think?
