Twisted Christmas Wreath Quilt

Project Description

What was your source for this quilting project? Online Photo or Website Name of website or photo Li'l Twister Christmas Wreath Link to website or photo What are you most proud of? I'm most proud that throughout the construction of this quilt, I did not have to reverse sew (a.k.a. ripping out sewn seams). It required a high degree of precision and concentration to keep all the pieces in order. What advice would you give someone starting this project? A design wall is essential for this project because the pieces have to be cut and transferred to another surface immediately and every scrap has to be kept in sequence.

What you will need

  • A charm pack along with other fabrics from my fabric stash
  • a length of rickrack in variegated colors and the Li'l Twister tool.

Q&A with Chumkie

late start gma asked:
Love it! I have the L'il Twister tool but have never made a wreath...thanks for the inspiration.
Chumkie answered:
You're most welcome, LateStartGma. The tool makes the whole process so easy! You cannot go wrong if you keep the printed letters consistently in the right hand corner as you cut your pieces. Let me know if I can help with anything. Best of luck!
Penelopequilts asked:
Love this. What is the finished size and what size twister tool did you use?
Chumkie answered:
Thank you, Penelope. The finished size is 22-1/2" square. I used the 3-1/2" Li'l Twister tool.
