Tulip Runner

Project Description

What advice would you give someone starting this project? ESS Works! I blocked this runner today and it looks great. All that's left to do is binding and then it's going on my dining room table.

Q&A with AZWendyG

Cindy Needham asked:
Holy Moly...this is fabulous!!! If I had known you were this talented I would have given you a much more complicated design. Very, very nice! Congratulations!
AZWendyG answered:
Thank you! I've been working on learning FMQ in my spare time for a little over 3 years. I'm pretty comfortable with my machine and the FMQ itself, but my designs were looking pretty flat. Your class was just what I needed at this point to keep moving forward. I didnt have any stencils to use so I drew out a plan on paper, then marked the quilt and went for it. This is the first time Ive ever really quilted outside the lines. Your instruction in how to develop this type of design was spot-on for me, and I enjoyed seeing your work immensely! Ive learned so much from your class already, and Im not anywhere near done!
Deb Cavanaugh asked:
Wow, oh just wow. Now you have to do it on a solid. It is so gorgeous. You really really are good at this.
AZWendyG answered:
Thanks Deb. :-) I'm getting ready to start on some solid/wholecloth placemats, and also may soon have some vintage linens to do. I LOVE the way your linens turned out; you did a beautiful job on them! So much inspiration, so little time...
