Tropical Delight Table Runner and mats

Project Description

What are you most proud of? I've expanded my free motion quilting on this project and did several patterns that I would not have thought of attempting 6 months ago and they came out. Hubby is even impressed, Just keeps saying how much I've improved. That says it all in my book. What advice would you give someone starting this project? Take your time, have fun with it, and follow Peggy's instructions. Watch the video over and over if you have to. If you start to get frustrated STOP and come back to it another day.

What you will need

  • 100% cotton Batic Blenders and florals
  • Insultbrite batting
  • Polyester fiber fill

Q&A with JanJo

Peggy Martin asked:
What gorgeous colors - so bright and cheerful! Your quilting looks wonderful, too - great work!
JanJo answered:
Thanks Peggy, of all your patterns I keep making the Sailors Delight over and over again in differnt pieces. I'm collecting the batiks for the New York Pattern now so that will be my next project of yours to tackle. Any chance you'll be leading another more advanced class here on Craftsy? Just love your patterns and the technique.
Pamillia asked:
They are wonderful. Your color choices are fabulous. Thank you for sharing.
JanJo answered:
Thanks Pamillia, I enjoyed making them and Peggy Martins String Paper Piecing Class is wonderful. Peggy is a fantastic instructor also. Hope they do a follow-up class with her real soon.
