Project

Tint and tone scales

What are you most proud of? That I finally got it done. I first chose orange for my pure color but it did not make very pretty colors. So I then decided to try a bright pink for my pure color and the results were more pleasing. I was very happy with the tint/tone scale as they are some of my favorite colors. What advice would you give someone starting this project? Take the time to do this exercise. You learn a lot about color. I cut the index cards in half to save on paint and time.

Q&A with Eunice4

coachgrazina asked:
Oh, you've been busy, Eunice :o) Make me feel a bit lazy, and motivates me...
Eunice4 answered:
It took me a while to get it done, but it is really worth it.
Seri asked:
I love how you labeled it for future reference, wish I had done that!
Eunice4 answered:
It took me so long to figure it all out, I decided I should label so I wouldn't forget.
Anannymess asked:
Wonderful!
Eunice4 answered:
Thanks.
soma1773 asked:
Wow! Thanks for the inspiration!
Eunice4 answered:
It is a learning experience. Do pick a color that you really like.
Joen Wolfrom asked:
Fantastic! What beautiful hues you have painted. Don't you feel as if you understand color so much more now that you have painted? Thanks for sharing. Joen.
Eunice4 answered:
Yes, I do feel like I have a much better understanding of color. I understand tints, tones and shades and what they mean on the color wheel that bought a long time ago. I think it would really be fun to paint more of these scales in other colors but I need to get back to quilting.
