Tinker Tote

Project Description

What are you most proud of? That I finished it. I made some crazy mistakes even though Tara is a wonderful instructor. The bulk of the project made it a fight to the finish, but I didn't give up. What advice would you give someone starting this project? Have patience and determine to finish. You'll be glad you did.

What you will need

  • 100% cotton leftovers from a fat quarter stack of coordinated fabrics purchased in Gatlinburg
  • TN in 2009 to make the quilt that was hanging on the shop wall. I made the quilt and had just enough left for this bag. The bottom was made from a homebuilder's decorator samples of drapery & upholstery fabrics. This piece was 3 times bigger than I needed and was a perfect weight.

Q&A with Bev-Houston

Archangels1946 asked:
Beautiful selection of fabrics. You have a knack, it seems, for selecting colors and fabric designs that play well together. Your tote is gorgeous.
Bev-Houston answered:
Thanks for the nice comments. Love this method and will definitely use it again and again. Thanks Tara!
