Project

the RE-recycle

What are you most proud of? This was made as an auction item for Say Si, a non-profit furthering art education in San Antonio What advice would you give someone starting this project? This is a modified bird pattern from Sharon Holland. The tangled nest cording is simply one selvage twisted with white eyelash cord and a black ribbon, then fed under an open-toe foot and zigzagged tightly. The feet are simple twisted jewelry wire.

You Can Make This

Pam Sews made the RE-recycle with:

  • Fabric selvages
  • batiks

Pam, love the use of fabric selvages - especially in the cording. I like how you started the cording after "wordplay" on the selvage! The feet on the bird are darling!
