Q&A with VivianNB

Becky R from IL asked:
Great quilt top
VivianNB answered:
Thank you! Believe it or not while making this I also did Ms. England's "Civil War Legacy" sampler (from her book of the same name) which had the same format but different blocks and can be seen on my blog here: http://bronxquilter.blogspot.com/2014/09/august-update-on-to-september.html. Right now, both are still awaiting quilting.

Your quilt is stunning. Was it easy to follow and would you recommend it to other quilters
VivianNB answered:
Yes! Ms. England's instructions are very clear and she gives tips for using specialty rulers to make some of the block units if you want to do that. she also gives some additional and helpful construction tips in the lesson videos so it's good to watch them before starting your blocks. Even better, given the scrappy nature of this quilt, when you are ready to put the blocks together to make the top, you have a lot of leeway to add additional spacing units or fabric strips if you have some bocks that are not quite to size to fit in the layout (ask me how I know!).
