The Apple Medallion Quilt

This is my favorite quilt so far. I used several of Lori Kennedys motifs - circle and dots and used heavier thread for the leaf. See next photo for the blossom motif. Look closely at the maroon fabric. I doodled for hours and hours before I transferred this onto the fabric. I loved using the chalk pencil that Lori uses. I also created two piecing maps first and then had a FMQ map to capture what motifs I wanted and would fit within the borders, sashings and cornerstones. Check out the green apple cornerstones. The apple and pie motifs come from Lori's blog - Inboxjaunt. And I really took my time to finish this; it was worth it.
