Teddy Bear Quilt

Project Description

What are you most proud of? It took so long laying the pieces and colors out trying to decide what would be the best way to design the quilt after I had the 12 blocks finished. I truly think it took longer than the actual construction. The blocks have 3D corners. I quilted in the ditch and worked with the design pack to incorporate the bears into the quilting. Some of my ideas were more successful than others. It was a learning experience. What advice would you give someone starting this project? Starch the beegeebees out of the block fabric before embroidering them. Use liquid and drip dry for maximum stiffness. Spray starch just doesn't cut it. It's the best way to avoid puckering of the design. This design has one spot where the thread will break on every single block. Once you find it, just watch for it and slow way down. It happens in the same spot every time. You can embroider this block by color if you want and do all the green, all the brown, then all the pink if you like instead of changing colors back and forth.
