Q&A with Silkins

Dana R asked:
I love the sky and lake - good representation of a sunset. Did you paint the fabric?
Silkins answered:
yes I did using Hi Strike paints I bought from Gloria many years ago
Janey Crook asked:
i have just this course as well - what a great teacher.
Silkins answered:
yes she is a great teacher - I have had the privilege of doing 3 courses in real life with Gloria and she is so good.
sandranic9211966 asked:
I have just come across this on the internet and it is beautiful. I would love to give it a go but is it easy to do and do you hand sew the pieces or are they glued or machine sewn? Fantastic work. Also I am a novice on the sewing machine and i have just taken up quilting in recent years. Many thanks Sandra
Silkins answered:
Hi Sandra, I used Steam a Seam 2 lite (an iron on fusible) and machine stitched the pieces down. It is a great class to do and Gloria explains everything very clearly so I highly recommend doing this class.
