Sunny Summer Days

What was your source for this quilting project? Online Photo or Website Name of website or photo Get Growing Link to website or photo piecesfrommyheart.net/patterns/jellyroll/get-growning.html What are you most proud of? I feel that I really captured the essence of a laid back sunny summer day, and that is what I was striving for. What advice would you give someone starting this project? Swirl your seams open where the blocks meet and this quilt will lay nice and flat. I wish I had made my sunflowers from a brighter yellow. You really need to exaggerate the color when it is going to be appliqued on a colored pieced background. I did the applique in batiks and the applique is machine stitched down, but the quilt is not quilted yet. I think this will be a great piece to practice my FMQ on when the weather cools down.
